The Week That Was: Captured #83

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
I really enjoyed reading Mum in a Nutshell’s post from last week – she talks so passionately about the sea and living close to the beach, and it made me miss Brighton even more than I already was! Gorgeous photos too!
Katy’s post (Modern Mummy) last week made me very envious; she had a glorious night out with a friend drinking wine and being an adult, and some gorgeous adventures with her girls – one of which included cupcakes! Bliss!
I really loved this post from Lisa (Post Script Writing) about how she and her Husband met and fell in love! It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Our week
This week has been a lot more relaxed than last! It’s also been filled with exciting news!

I wasn’t feeling great on Sunday – the stress of the bleeding etc came to a head, so I spent most of the day shut away working and sleeping.

We had our 20 week scan on Monday and found out that we’re having a boy!!! We’re both over the moon, and he’s growing well and looks healthy, so that has put my mind at rest.

I worked on Tuesday. Busby went to the local toddler group with Nick’s mum and then spent a lot of the afternoon snoozing! I had two exciting deliveries – one of which was our new Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip XT pushchair which I will be featuring on the blog soon!

Nick’s parents went away on Wednesday to visit friends for a few days, so Busby and I were solo! We had a yummy lunch and then headed out for a walk in our new pushchair. We had every intention of going to the park, but she fell asleep just as we were about to arrive, so I walked back to the house and finally started work on my novel! Busby had a rather epic nap so wasn’t awake for long before Nick got back from work. Oops!

The Health Visitor came over on Thursday lunch time to “check us out” as we’re new to the area; I did try to tell her there was no point as we’ll be moving again in a few weeks to another new area, but it’s protocol. As predicted she stayed for about 10 minutes, after realising that Busby was thriving! Busby and I made cookies in the afternoon, and then she had a nap in our bed while I “window shopped” for baby clothes online!

Busby and I had a lazy Friday morning, which involved nothing more than lying in bed, doing chores and an indoor picnic for lunch. Nick took a half day, so once he was home we headed to a local farm for a look at the tractors (Busby’s favourite thing!) and to have a hot chocolate.

We all had a gloriously lazy morning snuggled up in bed on Saturday, followed by pancakes, maple syrup and bacon for breakfast. We then headed to Blackerhall Farm (my current favourite place) for lunch. The afternoon was spent catching up with #TWTWC (sorry I’ve been a bit slow this week; it’s been busy and Busby hasn’t been asleep before 10pm most nights!) and packing for our exciting Babymoon! Nick and I are off for two nights to the Devonshire Arms, and we’re both looking forward to some time to ourselves before the craziness of the house move and the arrival of the new baby!
