The Week That Was: Captured #85

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
I loved reading Anna’s (The Dusty Attic) post last week – and it turns out I’ve found another Bump Buddy! Hurrah! Congratulations Anna!
Kirsty (Hijacked by Twins) had a great week last week; she finally got to test out her new range cooker (I’ve been seriously excited by this!) and their new family member arrived – a gorgeous puppy called Opie!!!
Hannah (Cupcake Mumma) had a busy ol’ week last week! She had some gorgeous photos, and it was lovely to read the snippets of her life.

Our week
I wasn’t feeling very well on Sunday so spent the whole day in bed resting. My shiny new DSLR camera arrived in the afternoon so had some fun reading about ISOs and apertures, as have been determined to get off the automatic setting since my last DSLR died.

Monday was spent sorting out Busby’s old baby clothes, and taking stock of what we currently have before I spend anymore money buying new clothes for Peppercorn!

1. Toast and marmite was the only thing I could stomach (Sunday) // 2. New camera! (Sunday) // 3. 22 weeks pregnant today! (Monday) // 4. Sorting out clothes with Bump (Monday)

I worked on Tuesday.

Busby and I had a lovely relaxing day on Wednesday. I introduced a new routine for her, which doesn’t involve a nap during the day, as she’s not been going to sleep until gone 9pm every night since we’ve moved to Yorkshire…which just isn’t practical! It takes a lot of pressure off trying to get her to nap, and has helped me relax more and plan our days full of activities to keep her going.

We trekked the 4 mile round-trip to see the Midwife on Thursday. I was worried that it wouldn’t be a supportive appointment, but she was fantastic – as was the student midwife! We were in there for an hour and I left feeling more positive.

5. Beautiful Busby (Wednesday) // 6. Chilling with tea and Bump (Wednesday) // 7. Dinosaur post (Thursday) // 8. Swollen feet (Thursday)

Nick had to take an impromptu annual leave day on Friday as his car windscreen broke on the way back from work the day before. We headed to the park in the morning, and then spent the afternoon baking. Busby was enthralled by the windscreen repair man, and kept trying to help him. I was feeling more bumpy on Friday, and saw Peppercorn move for the first time! I’ve been feeling him move for weeks now, but it was so lovely to physically see his kicks.

We had another lovely family day on Saturday; I had my haircut in the morning while Nick took Busby to the park next door. We then headed to Frankie & Benny’s for lunch for the first time in ages! It’s seriously been about five years since I’ve been. The drive back was spent trying to keep Busby awake – luckily the car wash proved enough of a draw!

9. Park life (Friday) // 10. Her favourite part of baking (Friday) // 11. Moving Bump (Friday) // 12. She’s such a dude! (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?

Huge apologies – my badge is still being pesky and I haven’t had a chance to sort it out yet – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code from straight to curly (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you…!

So glad you’ve got a nice supportive midwife… its very important! In my first pregnancy I saw the same lovely one all the way through, this one I’ve not seen the same one twice! Thankfully I sort of know what’s what 2nd time round but it is a bit of a bummer not having continuity!

Sorry to hear about the windscreen, but yay to an impromptu day off!

I’m loving watching your bump grow each week in #twtwc! glad you had a positive mat appointment, women are so vulnerable when they’re pregnant so the proper support is vital.
