Pregnant with a Peppercorn // 26 weeks pregnant

I feel like I’ve bloomed this week. Hurrah! I don’t know whether it’s a combination of sunshine, warmth and that I’ve been feeling a lot happier, but I’m certain my hair is fuller, my skin is looking better and (despite the very busy week) I’ve been feeling more energised.

My bump has popped out even more this week and is looking rounder. I met up with my best friend on Wednesday night for dinner, and although we’d only seen each other 10 days previously, she was so surprised at how much my bump had increased and how pregnant I looked in our few days apart.

This week Peppercorn is approximately 36cm long, and should weigh about the same as a red cabbage or aubergine. After a quiet start to the week he’s perked up this weekend, and he’s moving around lots as I write this. He really likes the sound of Mutti’s tumble dryer!

I’ve had a couple of cravings this week. For those of you who follow me on Instagram (or who read #TWTWC) you will have noticed that I’ve eaten A LOT of halloumi this week! It’s been wondrous… Truly wondrous! I’ve also been craving green juice; I had a delicious juice at St Pancras on Monday which consisted of apples, mint, ginger and (I think) kale. My body is obviously needing these nutrients, and I’m happy to oblige!

I have a countdown app on my phone now, which has been rather useful for working out how many months of pregnancy I have left – it’s hard to believe that Peppercorn will be here in around 3 months! Eek! We should be get the keys to our new house in just over two weeks, so let the decorating and nesting commence!

Yay! I’m glad you’ve had a good week. Are you finding this pregnancy seems to be going much quicker than your first? I’ve got my 20 week scan this week - I can’t believe I’m half way there already!
