A few weeks ago, the lovely folk at Theraline sent me a new Maternity and Nursing pillow to try. Knowing I had quite a few visits to Sussex planned over the next few months, I opted for the Plushy Moon pillow, which is smaller than the Original pillow I reviewed a few months ago. I chose a smaller pillow as thought it would be a good size for transporting on the train and comfortable to use in the car. A pregnancy travel pillow, if you will.
I wasn’t disappointed. The Plushy Moon fitted perfectly in a bag underneath the pushchair, and made it there and back from Sussex without any issues. As predicted, it’s super comfy to use in the car as both a head pillow for snoozing, and for back support after prolonged sitting.
My favourite thing about the Plushy Moon pillow is how cosy it is! One side is made from plush terry cloth, which is so soft – and draws Busby’s attention every morning she gets into bed with us… We’ve had lots of “This is my pillow” from her! The other side is made from silky stretchy cotton.
The pillow is very supportive, making it the perfect, smaller alternative to a larger maternity or nursing pillow. I’ve found myself getting very comfortable making a nest cocooning myself with the Original pillow, and using the Plushy Moon to support bump and to use between my legs. And as we all know – getting comfortable as pregnancy progresses becomes more and more difficult, so when one does find the ultimate comfort position it feels sublime!
The Plushy Moon pillow is less of a barrier in bed too – which means that you can lie next to your partner without feeling like you’re cutting the bed in half with pillows.
The micro-bead filling is both supportive and soft; it’s made from anti-allergenic beads, which feel like grains of sand when touched. It will be ideal when Peppercorn arrives, for comfortable, supportive and cosy breastfeeding.
The Plushy Moon pillow can go in the washing machine at 40°; fantastic news for an item that is constantly around messy toddlers and milk spills!
I would definitely recommend the Plushy Moon Maternity and Nursing pillow for pregnant and breastfeeding ladies who don’t have lots of space, or who travel around a lot.
