The Week That Was: Captured #86

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
Polly’s post (Tantrums and Tailoring) had me salivating last week! So many delicious treats, and some beautiful flowers too; lovely photos!
I really enjoyed Hectic Dad‘s post about how his life has now completely changed laundry-wise! It was a funny post, and one I could relate to totally.
Lauren’s post (Belle du Brighton) had me smiling last week; Athena looked so cute crafting away, and I can’t believe Lauren is about to go on maternity leave – her pregnancy has flown by!

Our week
I was feeling dreadfully homesick for Sussex on Sunday and had a long FaceTime session with Mutti… I’ve planned a return home for a few weeks time, as she’s said she’ll meet us off the train in London so I don’t have a repeat of last time and overexert myself. I spent the afternoon texting friends and making plans to meet up – as well as asking our lovely Monkey Music teacher whether we can go along on to our old lesson – very exciting! Nick cooked a very yummy roast chicken for dinner!

Busby and I had a lovely day together on Monday; chilling out around the house. I made scones to fulfil the craving! I also turned 23 weeks pregnant.

1. Planning our trip (Sunday) // 2. 23 weeks today! (Monday) // 3. Beautiful Busby (Monday) // 4. A very tired melfie (Monday)

I worked on Tuesday.

We decided to have an impromptu getaway from Wednesday until Saturday in East Yorkshire (where we’re moving to next month). We booked a lovely little apartment through Air B’n’B, and Busby and I headed over on the train. We mooched around Cottingham in the afternoon and met Nick from work, before heading over to our new house to show Busby for the first time. We arrived at our apartment in the evening, and settled in quickly.

5. Scones (Monday) // 6. Someone else enjoyed the scones! (Monday) // 7. Happy post (Tuesday) // 8. Bump for a pillow (Wednesday)

Nick left for work on Thursday morning and the rain poured! I had hoped we might head to the seaside for the day, but sadly it wasn’t the weather for it, so instead Busby and I explored Beverley. She decided to snooze in the pushchair, so I took the opportunity to have a lovely (very quiet) lunch at Prezzo!

9. Rainy day… raaar! (Thursday) // 10. Refusing to move from this seat (Thursday) // 11. Snooze! (Thursday) // 12. Sexy spaghetti (Thursday)

The sun was shining on Friday so Busby and I caught the train to Bridlington. We had a wonderful few hours on the sandy beach, and paddling (with wellie boots on) in the sea, before catching the train back to Beverley and meeting Nick for dinner at Pizza Express.

We said goodbye to the apartment on Saturday morning, and headed into Cottingham for a coffee and to check out the local park. After an hour or so in the park, we drove to Waitrose for lunch and to purchase some baking goodies for the impending arrival of my best friend next week (I’m going to make her my salted caramel and pecan brownies), before returning to West Yorkshire… and to a huge pile of post!

13. Beach life (Friday) // 14. No matter how cold it is, she will always want ice cream (Friday) // 15. Paddling (Friday) // 16. Happy dinosaur post! (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?

Another busy week for you, I wish I could get out and about as much as you do but it’s so hard tying things in with school drop offs and pick ups. I am definitely going to make those brownies!
