Hello! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a fabulous week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I really enjoyed Becky’s (Little O and Me) post last week – it sounds like she had a lovely birthday and it looks like it was a fun week with Oliver!
Anna’s (Play at Home Teacher) post made me feel very sentimental as she realised how quickly Sophie is growing up! Sob!
Cathy (Jack’s Paper Moon) shared Noah’s new nursery last week, and it was gorgeous! I’m definitely going to be taking inspiration from the post when we start decorating.
Our week
Sunday was a bit of a rubbish day as I was feeling very down.
Nick very kindly took a carers leave day on Monday and drove me to see the Doctor. (He really is the most amazing person in the world.) The Doctor was really lovely, and agreed that I need some help with my depression and anxiety. She wants to see me weekly until my talking therapy comes through. We spent the afternoon together as a family; eating lunch out and doing a spot of retail therapy. I found a pair of sparkly trainers for £3! I also turned 24 weeks pregnant.
I worked on Tuesday, but had some lovely cuddles with Busby in the morning as she was up early. She is my motivation to feel better.
We had a slow morning on Wednesday (translation, I can’t remember what we did!) and then headed into Wakefield in the afternoon, as I needed to visit a few shops for some essentials.
Nick’s parents took Busby out for the afternoon on Thursday so I spent some quality time with Bump; we had a lovely few hours baking in the kitchen.
My best friend and her Husband arrived early on Friday morning to stay for the weekend. We visited my favourite Blackerhall Farm for lunch, bought some tasty food for dinner, and then Nick and I cooked a very yummy meal in the evening.
The sun was shining on Saturday so we headed to Yorkshire Sculpture Park for a stroll and lunch. The weather was beautiful and, at times, we didn’t need our coats. (Yay for Spring!!!) We had planned to take our guests out for dinner in the evening to a local Italian restaurant, but after I almost fainted in the very busy restaurant bar, we came back to the house and had a takeaway instead – which was a huge shame!
What have you been up to this week?
Hannah
Huge apologies – my badge is still being pesky and I haven’t had a chance to sort it out yet – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code from straight to curly (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you…!
not good thats you’ve been feeling down! hope you feel better soon. I love love love your nails that colours lovely and I think I need to find this brownie recipe! xx
Oh no. Bit of a duff week for you but I’m glad your doctor is taking things seriously and giving you some support. I know what prenatal depression is like from the first time round and it’s not pleasant, hormones are crazy things which do not help. Hoping this week is better for you xx
Thank you for featuring my post this week 🙂
I glad to hear the doctor is happy to meet with you until your talking therapy comes through. I really hope it helps. Busby looks so adorable in the photos. Love her pjs! Such a shame you had to miss out on your meal but takes aways with friends are a good alternative.
Hope you have a great week this week. Thanks for hosting. x
I hope you’re ok Hannah. I’m really glad you have such a supportive partner and friends who are able to reach you when times are hard.

Oh huni I am sorry to read that you are not feeling great, I hope you pick up quickly and the dark cloud goes away. Bump is looking lovely, take care xx
Oh Poppet, what a week of ups and downs.
So sorry things aren’t as joyful as they should be, you know I’ve been living with my own depression for a while, always happy to talk if you think it will help.
But yay for time with your babes, a supportive man and visits with your best friend xx
Hi Hannah,
Joining your linky for the first time - thank you for hosting! I love your Instagram and I love your translation on the Wednesday… I might have to pinch that, haha!
Have a lovely week,

I’m so sorry that you’ve been feeling down. Your doctor sounds lovely though so I hope seeing her helps you until your therapy starts.
Your baking photos always make me feel mega hungry.
Thanks for hosting #TWTWC

Lovely hearing about your week. I am so glad that you have a supportive doctor that will get you some therapy. I was very lucky with my last pregnancy that my midwife was able to arrange immediately for someone to speak to during the pregnancy and provide optional help post-natal. Having a baby is a miracle every time and filled with so much anxiety. I was given some relaxation exercises. Did help in those moments of dealing with 2 year old and pregnancy stress. Best wishes!
Firstly thanks so much for the mention!!
Im sorry to hear you have been feeling low, I’m so glad you have support from your GP, It really makes so much difference. Your hubby sounds fab! Busby has such a gorgeous smile!
I hope this week is more positive for you
Xxx
