The Week That Was: Captured #89

Hullo there! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

So I’ve been away in Sussex all week, having a truly fabulous time! Thank you to everyone who linked up last week, and sorry I haven’t had a chance to catch up with your posts – my days have been long and fulfilling spending time with my amazing daughter and family/friends, and my evenings have been spent asleep from the long days of fun, but I will be catching up with everyone who links up this week – so don’t forget to pop your post below!

Our week
Sunday was Mother’s Day, and was pretty rubbish to be honest so we’ll gloss over that; this week has been amazing and I don’t want anything to spoil it.

1. Dodgy fringe chop (Sunday) // 2. 26 weeks pregnant! (Monday) // 3. On the train (Monday) // 4. St Pancras (Monday)

Busby and I travelled down to Sussex on Monday. We had lunch in London with Mutti, who met us off the train at St Pancras, and then headed back to her house. I also turned 26 weeks pregnant.

Tuesday was a wonderful day; we went to Blackberry Farm with friends and spent all day there, running around and playing together. Having never visited previously, I was really impressed with all the facilities – and the play areas were a particular hit. We had a lengthy catch up!

5. Preggers! (Monday) // 6. Lazy breakfast with my favourite girl (Tuesday) // 7. Late snoozing due to early morning Toddler rave (Tuesday) // 8. Friends (Tuesday)

We travelled down to Brighton on Wednesday and had lunch with my Aunt (which was very delicious!). Busby and I wandered around the shops after lunch and then headed back to Mutti’s house. I went out for dinner with my best friend in the evening, and had a super catch up – we laughed for almost the entire three hours.

Busby wasn’t sleeping very well at the beginning of the week, and was up for three hours during early Thursday morning, so I had a nap mid-morning to try and catch up while Mutti took Busby and Basil the dog out for a walk! We met a friend for lunch, and then wandered into Lindfield to get essentials (Calpol) and visited the park. Busby wasn’t feeling very well that evening due to earache, but she did sleep through the night for the first time in a good few days! Hurrah!

9. Off to Brighton (Wednesday) // 10. Sexy halloumi burger (Wednesday) // 11. More halloumi (Thursday) // 12. Pudding (Thursday)

Which takes us onto Friday! Friday was fantastic! We travelled over to Lewes to attend our favourite (past) weekly activity: Monkey Music! The session was truly wonderful, and Busby had so much fun – as did I. We then went out for lunch to Bill’s with Busby’s bestie, followed by a park trip, and then back to their house for a playdate. They kindly gave us a lift back to Mutti’s, and the Toddlers had dinner together – much to Busby’s delight! Nick arrived late on Friday night from Yorkshire.

13. Commandeering my old cuddly toys (Thursday) // 14. “Mummy – is this a hat?” (Friday) // 15. More halloumi (Friday) // 16. Busby’s first horse “ride” (Friday)

We were up early on Saturday! All three of us headed into Brighton; Nick went off to catch up with a friend, and Busby and I went to meet Chelle (The Mumington Post) and Lauren (Belle du Brighton) for coffee. We had a good ol’ chat! Then Busby and I met Nick for lunch, and ambled back to the station via the seafront.

17. Country girl (Friday) // 18. Helping in the stables (Friday) // 19. More halloumi (Saturday) // 20. Lazy Saturday afternoon in the pub (Saturday)

We’re here for another few days and have got lots of wonderful plans, so I can’t wait to share those with you next week! I’m sorely tempted to stay a little longer… there are plenty more halloumi-selling establishments I have to try (I’ve eaten a lot of halloumi this week)!!

What have you been up to this week?

Huge apologies – my badge is still being pesky and I haven’t had a chance to sort it out yet – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code from straight to curly (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you…!

It was SO nice to see you and have a catch up, Busby was also very well behaved compared to Athena who clearly just likes to hurtle around when I’ve just sat down ðŸ™
I am loving the amount of Halloumi you’re consuming too! 😉
