I feel like Iāve swallowed a bowling ball this week; my Bump has definitely increased in size again and looks rounder than previous weeks! Iām carrying Peppercorn so differently to Busby ā heās all in front and Iām feeling very full of baby already.
Peppercorn should be around 39cm now, and weighs about the same as a butternut squash or small cabbage. Heās taking around 250mg of calcium from me per day, which would explain why Iāve been having very sudden, intense milkshake cravings this week!
Iāve been suffering from extreme exhaustion again ā there have been mornings when Iāve found it hard to move as my limbs feel so heavy and tired. I donāt remember feeling this exhausted when I was pregnant with Busby this early on in the third trimester, but I suppose I didnāt have a Toddler to deal with and could have a nap pretty much whenever I needed to. Iām definitely slowing down ā we had to make quite a few pit stops in Brighton on Wednesday as I was just too tired to keep going at the pace Iām used to.
I had the most amazing pregnancy massage from the wonderful Lucy of Lucyās Holistics in Brighton on Wednesday. She has truly magical hands, and would recommend anyone and everyone to go and see her for massages! I wish she was based in Yorkshire⦠Iād be seeing her weekly!
Other than milkshakes, Iāve been enjoying red meat again this week. Iāve also just discovered a gorgeous Rose Lemonade from Fentimans, which has now become my non-alcoholic picnic alternative until Baby arrives.
The predicted hot weather for the next few months has me wondering whether a water birth in a paddling pool in the garden might be a good idea! My Mum suggested adding a gazebo for extra privacyā¦!!! It got me thinking though ā do you know anyone who gave birth in the garden?? Not sure I fancy our new neighbours popping their heads over the fence to see whether weāve acquired a cow and instead getting a face full of lady gardenā¦

Haha the last bit made me giggle! Iād love a home birth but I doubt my neighbours would appreciate it haha xx

Luckily weāre semi-detached so only one lot of neighbours might be aware that something is occurring⦠we have a twitten at the back of the house though - so slightly concerned that heads might poke over to see whatās going on if in garden!!! xxx
I carried Luca all at the front, maybe itās a boy thing! Itās such an amazing time though and when you say about the little things that baby is doing, like stealing all your calcium it reminds you that you donāt just get āfatā for a few months, they literally drain you donāt they? This may make me sound awfully odd but if you could ensure privacy I think an outdoor paddling pool birth in the midst of summer would be amazing. Iām sure lots of people must have birthed outdoors although like you say the neighbours popping their heads over the fence to take a peek wouldnāt be ideal. Xx

Completely drain you! Iāve just woken up from a 2 hour nap! xxx
Giving birth in the garden sounds amazing, especially if itās hot! Not sure I would be allowed to set up a theatre for a C section out there though, sadly. I am loving the look of the Rose lemonade!

You probably wouldnāt want to set up theatre in the garden⦠not very hygienic š xx
Looking gorgeous! All these beautiful bumps pics are certainly making me broody again!
I craved milk like nobodyās business when pregnant too!
Gonna try out that rose lemonade too - my favourite at the moment is the Belvoirs Raspberry lemonade!

I know what you mean - the crazy toddlers really donāt help š xx
I have heard of a couple of people who have given birth in their garden, and a couple more who did so in the conservatory or with the patio doors open! I think I read about them in one of the parenting magazines. It will be Yorkshire though so you might need some shelter, the last thing you want is a rainstorm mid contraction!

Patio doors open would definitely work! The rainstorm might be a welcome weather change in that situation? xx
Oh bless you, you look fab and I really like the look of the rose lemonade. I love rose. #MaternityMondays
You look fabulous! Brilliant idea to have a garden birth š I am so blinking hot already, I dread to think what Iāll be like in July⦠Iām going to give your lemonade a try as so bored of lime and soda xx

Pregnancy suits you - youāre glowing! I remember feeling completely exhausted throughout my second pregnancy, it is SO much harder with a toddler in tow. Hope you manage to get plenty of rest.. somehow! x
