31 weeks has been rather exhausting⦠Saturday night was my first full night of sleep for a week! Iām finding it so difficult to get comfortable now, and often end up sleeping on my back, which jolts my brain into a panicky ādonāt sleep on your back, youāll reduce blood flow to the placenta!ā mode and so I wake up again, and try to get comfortable once more. Then I have to pee. Then Busby wakes up just as Iāve got myself into a good position⦠Then I have to pee again. Then once I finally get to sleep itās 6am⦠Iāve been getting my best sleep between 6am-7am before Busby wakes up for the morning! So yes. My brain isnāt really present at the moment. Add completing on our new house to the mix, and I canāt compute much further than āMama eat cake, yes?ā
But, hey, did you read the last sentence? Weāve completed on our house!!! Which means weāre finally house owners!!! And I can finally get nesting!!! Hurrah! This weekend has been spent stripping an awful lot of wallpaper! We still have a long way to go, but the house is definitely getting there, and my desire to nest is certainly being sated. I need to contact the local midwifery team in our new county next week, to let them know weāll be moving soonish and to inform them that Iād like a home birth. (You can read all about the first Home Birth Support Group meeting we attended this week here!)
This week Peppercorn is approximately the weight of a coconut (1.5kg) and is over 41cm long! Heās definitely growing, as is now big enough to change the shape of my bump whenever he moves. Iāve been playing guessing games with myself, trying to work out which part of his body is sticking out.
Iāve been all about the chocolate digestives again this week, as well as green juice and mangoes. I canāt seem to stomach anything with bananas in for some reason. Iāve been waking up with headaches, and feeling very dizzy around 10.30am and 4pm, so having to have regular snacks throughout the day; flapjacks have been amazing!
Not long to go now! Iām starting to feel rather nervous about having two childrenā¦!

Oh I can really sympathise about the whole sleeping thing, I can only get comfy on my back but I only read about the placenta thing today so need to try to find another position now. Yay to your new home. Hope the renovating all goes well and youāre able to nest full whack š

Thank you! Yup the sleeping thing is so annoying! xx
Loving your description of your sleep (or lack of it) that rings so many bells and I feel for you as the tiredness can be such a killer! Yay to completing on the house! We moved into our house 3 weeks before Monkey appeared and moving while pregnant is certainly different! I was on crutches at the time and very much unable to do much other than direct people where to go! Exciting times ahead for you and lovely to be in the house when baby arrives š Lovely bump shot and loving that dress! Thanks for linking with #MaternityMondays xx

Me and my husband moved to our new house when I was 30 weeks pregnant and it wasnāt the the best move Iāve had, but thankfully with no problems. I was so glad (and I do still) we donāt have too much stuff, so packing and then unpacking didnāt take too much time and also we have the greatest helping friends ever. I had great problems with sleeping because of the heartburn (the last five weeks of my pregnancy I even slept sitting ) , so I totally understand, and in the new place I needed a week to make comfortable. Pregnant and moving is a tough stuff.
