Pregnancy // Weekly Positive Inspiration for a Positive Birth #5

I haven’t had much time to think about Peppercorn’s impending arrival this week as we’ve been super busy stripping copious amounts of wallpaper in the new house. I’m certainly sating my nesting instinct, but there hasn’t been much time to just stop. My focus has been on getting the house ready for us to move in… and colour schemes!

I found this quote in my Mindful Hypnobirthing book and thought it was pretty amazing. I thought it was motivating for both the birthing partner (male or female) and the labouring woman, and knew I had to share!
I remember the first time I gave birth – both Nick and I were terrified, and I remember looking at him after a particularly painful few moments and he had tears in his eyes – he hated seeing me in so much pain. This time round I want him to be strong with me, to encourage me with admiration and pride, to feel in awe. I don’t want either of us to feel frightened – I want the room to be electric with excitement, after all, we’ll be meeting our son that day!
