Picture the scene:
You’re on a romantic stroll around one of the Lakes after a delicious Sunday roast. You’re on your Honeymoon. You’re blissfully in love. And then it rains.
Correction: it pours.
The coat you’re wearing is in noway sufficient for the downpour. And then the wind starts.
You’re soggy. You’re bitterly cold. And your new Husband says, for the tenth time that week, that you really need to buy a decent waterproof coat.
Yes. This is what happened on our Honeymoon!
So you can imagine my happiness (and Nick’s glee) when the lovely folk at Trespass got in touch and asked me whether I’d be interested in reviewing a waterproof coat. I chose the Alissa 3-in-1 Ladies Waterproof Jacket in Wild Berry, as fell in love with the purple colour and it looked super cosy!
Having recently moved to Yorkshire, and being a bit of a wimp when it comes to the cold (it’s my Sussex blood!), I’ve had my fair share of opportunities to wear the Alissa coat.
The Alissa jacket is waterproof (to 5000mm), windproof and has taped seams, which makes it perfect for our blustery park trips and Lake District visits. It’s a 3-in-1 jacket and can be taken apart to create three different garments depending on temperature; a fleece, outer shell and fleece/shell combination. The jacket uses Coldheat Insulation; a lightweight, durable layer that holds in your body heat. Unfortunately, I can’t show you the coat zipped up, as my bump is now too big!
The jacket is very comfortable to wear and move in, which makes it practical for Toddler walks; Busby can sometimes tire and requires carrying mid-walk. It’s also great for swing-pushing, as it’s not restrictive at all. It has a fantastic hood, which actually stays in place during windy weather and can be zipped off when not required.
The Alissa jacket has two pockets, which are the perfect size for safely storing your phone or MP3 player (or toy cars) whilst out walking. The quilted jacket also has two zip pockets.
I can’t wait to use my Alissa jacket even more come Autumn/Winter; I envisage it becoming my cold weather essential once the weather turns again! It’ll be perfect for cosy baby carrying on a chilly day.
The Alissa Ladies Waterproof jacket has a RRP of £149.99, but is currently available on the Trespass website for £62.99! The Alissa 3-in-1 jacket is fantastic value for money, and is ideal for any Mamas who love to get out and about with their children, no matter what the weather.

I need this coat! We’re leaving Italy soon and moving either to the UK or to southern Sweden. Either way I am going FREEZE as I am a total wimp too. I’m so tempted to order it right now… Thanks for the review!
Great review. I absolutely love my Trespass coat, so comfy and always keeps me dry on the school runs 🙂
Great! You can’t beat a good waterproof and windproof coat. I hate getting cold! Wonderfully modelled too! 🙂
I think I need one of these, sadly can’t afford one new on maternity pay but will stalk ebay I think! My mum has had her trespass coat for years and it’s still going strong, and you look great in this one and glad to hear it’s doing its job!
That looks like a fantastic coat….Trespass is such a great brand. My girl recently got a coat from them and it’s came in handy with this rubbish weather we’ve been having x
Love the colour. My husband has a 3 in 1 jacket from Trespass and he really likes it. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
