Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I apologise – I’ve been massively rubbish at catching up with everyone’s posts this week – I’m so sorry! We’ve been down in Sussex visiting family and haven’t stopped… By the time we arrived back in Yorkshire on Saturday evening, all I was ready for was a bath, dinner and bed. Please forgive me; the third trimester is well and truly here! I’ll be extra attentive this week!
Our week
As I mentioned above, we’ve been in Sussex this week. It’s been wonderful catching up with family and friends again… plus the weather has been awesome most of the week.
We had a lovely Easter egg hunt around my Mum’s house on Sunday morning. We visited my Aunt for a lovely lunch and had a very chilled out afternoon at her house.
My Mum hosted an Easter roast on Monday, which Nick cooked beautifully! I caught up with one set of Grandparents over lunch, and ate far too much. Nick, Busby, Basil the dog and I had a lovely post-lunch wander around Lindfield in the sunshine to work off some of the food! I also turned 29 weeks pregnant! Eek!
Nick, Busby and I headed over to our old hometown of Lewes on Tuesday for a picnic in the sunshine. We taught Busby how to play Pooh Sticks and ate ice creams basking in the glorious sun at the Grange. Nick and I decided to go out for dinner to the amazing Ginger Fox (near Henfield), and enjoyed some delicious food sans Toddler.
I had a pregnancy massage booked on Wednesday afternoon in Brighton, so Nick and I caught the train and visited Pompoko for a lunch date. We pottered around until it was time for me to be pummelled and oiled up. He then met a friend from work for a drink, while I headed back on the train smelling amazing and feeling joyful in my post-massage glow.
It was my Mum’s birthday on Thursday, so after a morning of present opening, we headed to Nyman’s (via Waitrose for picnic goodies). We spent hours there, relaxing on a picnic blanket, and even managed to get a little bit sunburnt!
We met up with Busby’s bestie and her Mama on Friday for swimming and lunch… which turned into afternoon tea as well! It was a lovely day and the girls had so much fun together.
Saturday was our travelling back to Yorkshire day, which wasn’t too bad thanks to hot chocolate and cake at Wimpole Hall! As I type this I’m in my pjs, post-bath, looking forward to going to sleep!
What have you been up to this week?

Huge apologies – my badge is still being pesky and I haven’t had a chance to sort it out yet – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code from straight to curly (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you…!
Sounds like a great mixture of activities and chilling out. How nice!
