Review // Nursery Prints from SmartCreative

A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by the lovely Sarah of SmartCreative to see whether I’d be interested in reviewing some of her wonderful handmade prints. Talk about perfect timing! I was in the process of painting and choosing the themes for the children’s bedrooms when I received the email! Sarah has lots of gorgeous prints in her Etsy store, all designed by her, and it was very easy to find a print for each of the children. Some of her prints can be personalised, and would make wonderful gifts for new parents, friends and family.

I fell instantly in love with this Sinatra inspired print for Busby’s “weather” themed room – and best of all, the lyric is from one of my favourite musicals. I thought the colours worked perfectly on her grey walls, and it really is just lovely! It looks fabulous in her bedroom and every time I see it, I burst into song!

For Master Peppercorn I chose another Sinatra-themed lyric print with Fly me to the moon. His Nursery has a robot/space theme, so thought this would look great on his picture wall. Once again, the colours are perfect and it looks fab!

All of the prints in the SmartCreative shop are 8×10 inches, which is a teeny bit awkward when trying to find frames to fit – it’s more of a task than a standard A4 print. However, I discovered some at The Range (which was a discovery in itself! Wowza – what an Arts & Crafts department!) for a very reasonable price, which fitted perfectly.

Both prints cost £12 each, and are available to buy in the SmartCreative store. Delivery is only £1.45, and prints come with hard-backing inside the (beautiful) packaging to keep them safe in the post.

I would definitely order from Sarah again, in fact, I’ve got my eye on this print also for Busby’s room!

Hi Hannah, thanks so much for your review, I’m pleased you liked the prints, and they look fantastic up on the walls! I’d just like to reassure your readers that 8×10 inch is a standard print size and frames are readily available on the High Street & at supermarkets, for example Tesco, Sainsbury’s, WH Smith, Wilkinsons, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Cargo to name but a few! (Though sadly not Ikea as you discovered!) I wouldn’t design them this size if I wasn’t confident of that! Xx
