The Week That Was: Captured #95

Hello hello! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week

I really enjoyed Another Bun’s post last week – her photos were absolutely stunning, and I was over the moon to have her link up for the first time!

Kaye’s (Hello Archie) post was also full of gorgeous photos last week, and an absolutely joy to read and look at.

Helen (From Mummy to Mum) passed her driving test last week! Hurrah! Huge congratulations to her!!!

Our week
So Sunday was spent stripping more wallpaper! I managed to almost finish Peppercorn’s bedroom in an afternoon, which was pretty good going! We provisionally ordered carpets in the morning, which was probably the most grown up thing I’ve ever done (yes, even more than getting married, having children and buying a house…!).

Lovely Franki and Luca from Little Luca & Me came over on Monday; we ate lunch and chatted in the garden until it got too chilly. It was fab to catch up!

1. First bump selfie in the new house! (Sunday) // 2. Fulfilling the need to nest (Sunday) // 3. I turned 32 weeks! Eek! (Monday) // 4. Watching for lorries and cranes (Monday)

Busby and I had a chilled out day on Tuesday where we did absolutely nothing (well, I did the washing and some work), I was quite thankful for this as she’d been up rather early the last two mornings!

I had hoped to do some baking on Wednesday but Busby wasn’t feeling too well, so we had another chilled day filled with lots of cuddles!

5. Busby helping me work (Tuesday) // 6. Halloumi cravings (Tuesday) // 7. Poorly cuddles (Wednesday) // 8. Exploring (Wednesday)

We headed over to the new house early doors with Nick on Thursday. He went off to work, and Busby and I had a morning around the house, followed by a lunch date at Costa and exploring our new surroundings! We visited our local greengrocers (a novelty!) and found some amazing Spanish strawberries for only 89p a punnet! I spent the afternoon stripping Busby’s bedroom, with a little help from her.

We were back at the house early(ish) on Friday as the carpet fitter was coming over to measure up the rooms. We spent the morning stripping even more wallpaper, and then went out for lunch and to pick up some supplies (tester paint pots!!!). The afternoon was spent, yup you guessed it, stripping more wallpaper. We all shared pizza in our new kitchen and gave Busby and bath at the new house, before heading back to Nick’s parents house a lot later than planned!

9. Our family room is coming along nicely (Thursday) // 10. Lunch date (Thursday) // 11. Testing out the beds at CarpetRight (Friday) // 12. This is how I’m spending most of my life at the moment… (Friday)

Nick and I celebrated four years of coupledom on Saturday by… stripping wallpaper. I was allowed a lie in however, and my body was incredibly thankful for this.

On another note, I’m looking for one (or maybe two) lovely people to host #TWTWC for me whilst I have a few weeks off to enjoy our new baby – he’ll be here before we know it! Let me know if you’re interested, and I’ll send you baby snogs and endless gratitude! Oh, and the details… I’ll send you the details!
