Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I loved Hectic Dad’s post last week about his daughter’s graduation – what an inspiring young lady and it oozed with Daddy Pride!
I really enjoyed reading Lauren’s (The Real Housewife of Suffolk County) post last week – it sounded like she had a fab Mummy Date at the pub, and she looked wonderful in her new, bargain dress!
I was happy to see Katy (Modern Mummy) back in the land of the blogging last week, and loved catching up on her adventures from the past few weeks – especially, her very exciting trip to Disney Land!
Our week
We sorted Busby’s bedroom out on Sunday and made it look beautiful!
Monday was “Maternity Monday” in The Harding Household! We spent the day buying everything required for the Baby and the Home Birth (shower curtains) and dropping off cheques etc. I also turned 36 weeks pregnant!
I was feeling absolutely shattered on Tuesday after another night of restless sleep, so we had a chill out day around the house. The sun was shining at lunchtime, so we had a picnic in the garden, and then I hammered some nails into walls to put up pictures.
The same happened on Wednesday – I was far too emotional and exhausted to do much more than lie on the bed with Busby and read. Nick came home from work a bit early so I could have a lie down before dinner. He’s a good ‘un.
I managed to sleep on Wednesday night/Thursday morning (hurrah!) and therefore felt much more perky! Busby had her Nursery taster session in the morning, which was a disaster and made me feel full to the brim with Motherhood guilt… We had a lovely afternoon however, including a Costa date and a wander around our new village getting on with some life admin.
I was feeling pretty shattered again on Friday, and the weather was miserable, so Busby and I decided not to go into Beverley as I had planned, and had a day around the house instead. She helped me pick out some shoes for the wedding we’re attending this weekend, and had lots of snuggles in bed, reading and playing. I had a small “am I in labour?!” scare later on in the day…
We attended a wedding on Saturday, which I imagine will be beautiful! Fingers crossed the weather is good, as I think it’s mostly outside! (I’m writing this on Friday night!)
What have you been up to this week?
