Another week of “shall I come today?” teasing from Master Peppercorn!
Sigh!
I’ve had an increase in episodes of tightenings, with a large period of them on Wednesday morning (early doors) until Busby went off to Nursery. The birthing ball has been utilised frequently this week with rotations and lots of bouncing!
This week Peppercorn is approximately 50cm long (the length of a leek) and weighs around 3-3.2kg. My bump hasn’t felt too much bigger this week and he’s definitely running out of space now!
I’ve been losing my plug since Wednesday night, which has left me feeling both apprehensive and excited… Busby didn’t arrive until a week after I lost my plug when I was pregnant with her, so I’m not holding my breath for an arrival this week. Nick thought Baby might arrive at the weekend as both sets of Grandparents had returned from their respective holidays – but we are still sans our newborn bundle.
I’ve been suffering from awful heartburn this week, and have been trying to limit my pineapple juice intake as that hasn’t been helping matters. I’ve also been waking up with achy fingers – I’ve had to take off my wedding and engagement ring in the last few weeks as my fingers have swollen a little, so I’m wondering whether this might be the cause. My appetite is definitely less this week, and I’ve been craving coca cola… nice and healthy!
I’m feeling so exhausted and boring now! I’m very eager for Peppercorn to arrive so I can start getting on with life again; there’s been no point signing up to classes with Busby in our new village as we’ll be missing a few of them in the coming weeks, and I’m getting serious Sussex withdrawals too, but have been too pregnant to do the journey on the train… I’m hoping the weather will start to improve again, as finding things to do with Busby inside is becoming increasingly more difficult, and all I want to do is snooze!
Oh, and I’m slightly concerned that Baby has decided to disengage himself, as I keep feeling two big lumps! Perhaps he just has giant hobbit feet?!
Don’t worry about the engagement. Little E only engaged when he was on his way out after bobbing in and out of my pelvis for weeks prior to his arrival. Second, and subsequent babies just don’t engage like the first one. I keep expecting to see your birth announcement, come on Peppercorn!
Come on baby! I know what you mean about wanting to get back to normal. While I don’t want to be wishing away my pregnancy, I’m already gettting a bit frustrated at the whole ‘slowing down’ situation. I hope you have a good week and will keep my eyes peeled for news! Eeek xx
Aww hope it is not too long for you now! Seems a lifetime to wait though doesn’t it! #maternitymatters
Oh I know you must be impatient but I can’t wait to hear of Peppercorn’s arrival. In the pic looking down at your bump, you can actually see the way baby is lying. So amazing. #maternitymondays
I keep watching out for updates and seeing on that ball very regularly now. Come on babyyyyy!!!! I have a craving for Pepsi right now, with lots and lots and lots of ice!
Aw all of this must seem like such a long time ago now that baby boy is in your arms! I’ve really loved reading your pregnancy journal, thanks so much for sharing with #MaternityMatters x x
