We completed our Hypnobirthing “crash course” in the last week, which was fantastic! I’ve found putting everything I’ve read about and learnt over the past few months into practise so useful, and have come away feeling really positive. The relaxations are amazing, and it has meant that I’ve been able to take time out from life and actually switch off – which is something I find very difficult.
Nick has introduced a “relaxation hour” into our lives this week where, at some point in the evening, we shut out the world, light candles, listen to our hypnobirthing relaxations (or listen to music) and concentrate on feeling relaxed and excited about bringing our new bundle into the world. I feel ready for birth now. I’ve had a couple of wobbles, but I know I am capable of bringing this beautiful little man into the world! I believe that I can do this… and I can’t wait to meet him!
I’ve been having a number of tightenings and small surges over the past few days, and spent a some time on the birthing ball yesterday, so fingers crossed he’s getting ready to join us! Will there be a Positive Inspiration post next week? Hopefully I’ll be ready and waiting with a positive birth story instead!!!
