The Week That Was: Captured #100

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

Wow! I can’t quite believe that there have been 100 of these posts! Insane!

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
BooAndMaddieOneI really enjoyed Lins’ (Boo & Maddie) post last week – especially the photo of her amazing crayon t-shirt! Seriously, pop over now and see – it’s awesome!

Becky’s (Little O and Me) post resonated with me last week – they’ve just moved house, and she was feeling super happy – as was Oliver!

yorkshire totsFinally, Yorkshire Tots‘ post reminded me that we are yet to take Busby pond-dipping, although probably best saved until after the Baby arrives… and maybe with two adults present, as that girl has no fear when it comes to water! The photos in the post were gorgeous – and I especially loved the field of buttercups!

Our week
On Sunday we had a fairly lazy get-up after the wedding the night before… I discovered I had rather swollen feet! Good ol’ third trimester! We then headed home and the birth pool that we’ve rented was delivered.

I turned 37 weeks pregnant on Monday which means I can now have my home birth! Woop! Nick’s parents came over to finish painting our family room and kitchen as I have now retired from the painting and decorating world until Baby arrives. I saw the Midwife in the afternoon, who told me that Baby’s arrival was imminent, and I spent Monday night on the sofa with period-pain-esque cramps wondering whether Baby would actually arrive. He didn’t.

Busby and I mooched around the house on Tuesday, while Nick’s dad finished glossing and painting our chalkboard wall! I (finally) started washing tiny clothes.

Busby had her first morning at Nursery on Wednesday, which wasn’t a total disaster… Some tears but not as bad as the taster session. I managed to get some work done too! She was in good spirits when I picked her up, and we went for a Costa date for lunch. We spent the afternoon playing in the garden, and my Mum called from Greece to say hi. Nick spent the evening nesting!

I spent Thursday morning working while Busby was at Nursery, and then picked her up after lunch. We’re trying to work her up to a full day on Thursdays, and thankfully she was a lot happier when I picked her up than when Nick had dropped her off!!! We spent the afternoon playing and relaxing in the garden.

I woke up on Friday morning feeling like I’d been steamrollered in the night, so we had a wonderful, quiet day in the garden enjoying the sunshine. Busby and I ate both breakfast and lunch in the garden – wonderful!

Hurrah for Saturday! I was very thankful that the weekend was finally upon us… the past week has felt very long! Busby was up early doors, so we had a lovely play in bed and then a slow breakfast. We all headed into Beverley before lunch to buy some essentials and yummy things from Marks & Spencers. Our garden picnic plans were slightly scuppered by the chilly wind…

13. Hurrah for flip-flop weather! (Thursday) // 14. Snoozing in the garden (Thursday) // 15. Picnic time (Friday) // 16. "Mummy! I made you a cup of tea!" (Saturday)

Thank you for featuring my post! I think pond dipping while 37 weeks pregnant could be quite a challenge - my two year old was pretty enthusiastic about the water (and not at all afraid of falling in it!) Looks like you had a lovely, sunny week - (minus the new nursery, that’s always tough!)

We are currently/always living in a state of decorating hell so I know what it’s like to live with a list of to-dos. It’ll be worth it in the end though when you open your door and you feel as if you’re “home”. x

Lovely photos. I was convinced you were going to have the baby last week. Hopefully he won’t keep you waiting much longer, those last few weeks are hard, specially with a toddler in tow, I remember it well!
