The Week That Was: Captured #102

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
Kate’s (Kate+) post was gorgeous last week! I especially loved the beach photos… and the gin!

I really enjoyed Lauren’s (Belle du Brighton) post last week – her gorgeous bundle Arlo still has me giggling at one photo in particular!

Chelle’s (Chelle McCann) post was a wonderful read last week – I loved her sibling photos, and decorated Bump pictures!

Our week
I felt the need for a walk on Sunday, so we decided to head to Hornsea for an impromptu trip to the sea. We discovered a lovely little craft café for lunch, and then went for a windy walk along the seafront! Busby ended up getting rather soggy in the sea… and Nick and I spent the time in hysterics!

Busby and I had a lovely morning in the garden on Monday, enjoying the sunshine and making daisy chains. Nick’s parents came over in the afternoon and took her for a picnic (to Hornsea again – the weather was a bit better this time!) while I rested. I turned 39 weeks pregnant!

1. Milkshakes should ALWAYS be served in milk bottles (Sunday) // 2. Who let the Toddler drive? (Sunday) // 3. 39 weeks pregnant! (Monday) // 4. Daisy chains (Monday)

Busby was in one of those “fun” (note, sarcasm) Toddler moods on Tuesday, so we spent the morning mooching around and enjoying the sunshine again. We explored the university gardens that our house backs onto in the afternoon, as we both needed a walk. The weather was gorgeous, and we enjoyed a biscuit stop sat by the lake. We all ate dinner in the garden when Nick came home from work, which was just lovely!!!

I was rather relieved when Wednesday arrived as Busby has Nursery in the mornings, and I desperately needed a break. I had a lazy get up, and then waddled off to the Midwife, who told me that Baby is very ready to arrive (once again)… I waddled back home, and enjoyed a peaceful lunch, before picking Busby up from Nursery. We spent the afternoon relaxing, as both of us were full of cold.

I was still feeling poorly on Thursday, so spent most of my working day resting. I managed to finish another book (number 34 of the 52 I aim to read this year), paint my nails and get some work done. Busby spent the whole day at Nursery for the first time since we moved from Sussex.

5. When did she get so grown up? (Tuesday) // 6. Feathers! (Tuesday) // 7. Off to the Midwife (Wednesday) // 8. All I want are strawberries and ginger yoghurt (Thursday)

I was still feeling poorly on Friday, so Nick’s dad picked up Busby in the morning so I could spend the day resting again. I was very envious of everyone’s BritMums Live photos on Instagram…!

The early hours of Saturday morning were spent having surges and tightenings, and by the time we had breakfast I seriously thought that Baby might be on the way… Sadly he was just teasing again, so we went for a walk into the village where we joined the library and found somewhere very cute to have tea and cake. The afternoon was spent in bed, recovering from the swift waddle back in the rain!

9. A beautiful handmade gift from a friend (Friday) // 10. Happy dino post! (Saturday) // 11. More happy post (Saturday) // 12. All milk should be served in teeny milk bottles (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?
Hannah

Oh that wee man does seem to be rather comfy doesn’t he! Hopefully it won’t be long now! And in the meantime hurrah for trips to Hornsea - my inlaws live in a village on the edge of Hull and we love going up to Hornsea when we’re there- I have an increasingly large collection of white pebbles from the beach!!

Eating in the garden and plenty of crafty cake excursions sounds like the perfect distraction to a cold and waiting for the little one to make his move. I hope you’re having a fantastically relaxing Sunday (Nick’s last as a father of *technically* one, I suppose! Eeep!) xxx

Serving milkshake in a bottle is genius. Would definitely make me want one over a latte (my drink of choice). I hope you start feeling better soon. Fingers crossed the big event happens this week and every ache and pain will be a blur! Take care. #TWTWC
