H-Bear // 9 months

H-Bear is now crawling like a pro…! He’s picked up how to crawl on the different surfaces remarkably fast, and loves his new found freedom. I think his favourite thing about being able to crawl is that he can now follow me around when I put him down. Which means I often end up with him standing up, clinging onto my legs, when I’m trying to make meals or get on with jobs around the house!!

Not only is he crawling like a pro, he’s also started cruising like one too! I get the impression he’s eager to be off on his two feet, exploring, and wreaking havoc with his sister… In the last week or so he’s started climbing the stairs too – I’d forgotten how life changes when they start moving properly…

H-Bear is turning into the stereotypical baby; putting everything in his mouth and being drawn to danger (plugs, tiny objects etc), which is so very different to Busby, who was actually quite a sensible baby! It’s taken us a few days to get our heads round this… and a number of dramatic “nooooooo!” moments!

We’ve had “Dada” or “Daddy”, which H-Bear seems to use for both Nick and I. We’ve also almost had a “hello” and a “mummy”. He’s definitely found his voice this month though, and has so many different noises – from happy to protesting.

H-Bear is now having a regular day away from me every week, spending the day with Nick’s parents, so I can work. It’s been good for both of us, although it has meant that he’s extra cuddly in the evening and during the night!

He is still loving his food, and his favourite foods this month have been slow-roasted pork, roast potatoes, and (dairy-free) pancakes. He’s also rather enjoying houmous, and free-from hot cross buns!

H-Bear has inherited the family book worm trait, with favourites this month including Dear Zoo, Animal Music, and the classic We’re going on a bear hunt. He gets so excited every time we turn the page, and has started turning the pages himself!

I can’t believe my youngest bear has almost been in the world as long as he was in my tummy! Life is flying.

He’s looking so grown up, and really developing his ‘grown up’ face! I love watching him grow, and I cannot believe he’s 9 months already! It must be a boy think with loving everything dangerous, Parker is exactly the same xx

Good luck with the crawling and cruising, seems so long ago now. It’s wonderful to watch them discover a whole new world isn’t it #SSAA

What gorgeous photos. Fab that he’s crawling, but it does make it very hard work doesn’t it. Thanks for sharing with #LetKidsBeKids

Aww, there’s no stopping him now. I love the picture of him at the window with the cat on the other side!
