H-Bear // 11 months

Goodness… H-Bear’s last update before he turns ONE! What a quick year!

This month has been gorgeous. H-Bear is sleeping so much better since we’ve introduced the dummy, and hasn’t been into bed with us for a week or so now! He’s also started taking epic naps during the day next to me in bed, which is great (on the days where we don’t have anything to do!). He’s generally happier in himself, although he’s still very Mummy-centric! Perhaps he’s finally making up for all of the lost sleep over the past 11 months??! A Mama can only hope…

H-Bear took his first aided steps on our recent holiday to Italy, and hasn’t stopped since! He’s also started standing up unaided for a few seconds before he wobbles and topples. He enjoys creating walkers out of random objects, such as the highchair or stool, so things are in odd places around our house!

He’s started roaring and growling, which is both amusing and a little terrifying! We get a few odd looks when out in public, but he loves to pounce and growl at home. I think I might have actually birthed a bear… We’ve also had a “Dada” from him this month, and we’ve almost had a “hello”.

H-Bear is starting to get a lot more selective with his food and would probably live off potatoes if we let him. Baby potatoes are a hit at the moment, as well as baked salmon, grapes and jam sandwiches! Nick and I have been discussing starting him on the Milk Ladder, so fingers crossed we’ll start in a week or so and that he’ll progress.

Daddy is now adored, and he gets upset when Nick leaves for work in the mornings. It’s lovely to see this finally come about, as he’s been so into just me for so long now (which is wonderful, but sometimes Mama needs a break).

Our HRH has two parties planned for his birthday (one in Yorkshire and one in Sussex), so I better start trialling dairy and soya-free cake recipes!

Wow 11 months already! So glad he is sleeping better for you, you must feel better too! Yay for taking assisted steps! We also have furniture oddly placed around the house. The foot stool takes pride of place in the middle of the room! hehe

It must be a relief that he’s now sleeping better and lovely to see him trying to walk!
Those photos are gorgeous. It’s incredible how quickly babies change, isn’t it?

Wow 11 months how did that happen! I’m glad sleep has got better for you and it sounds like he will soon be keeping on your toes running around everywhere. Our little lady adores her daddy too and the tears that flow when he leaves are quite adorable. It’s even better to see all of the excitement when he comes home from work. To be honest my children have always been very into daddy, sometimes I get a little bit jealous lol. I hope he has a fantastic first birthday.
