Busby // A woodland feast with Muddy Puddles

Busby and I were invited to the very gorgeous Skip Garden, near Kings Cross, last week to attend the Muddy Puddles Woodland Feast SS17 Press Show.

As it was half term I decided to make a trip of it, so we headed down to London on Wednesday afternoon to meet my mum for dinner near our hotel at Lancaster Gate.

We stayed at the Corus Hotel next to Hyde Park, which to be honest wasn’t the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in – but the rooms were clean (if a little noisy), the location was fantastic for central London, and the breakfast was plentiful. Busby had the BEST time – she loved sharing a room, she loved the novelty of having a shower and she definitely ate her money’s worth at breakfast!! The joy on her face when she discovered they had Coco Pops!

After breakfast we caught a tube and a bus to Harrods, where I asked Busby to choose something for the Christmas tree from their Christmas shop. It was a very special moment; the last time I visited the Harrods Christmas shop I was 8 months pregnant with Busby and chose something for our tree, so it was amazing to take her back there as an almost four year old.

We’re about to get very photo-heavy as the location for Muddy Puddles‘ Woodland Feast was Skip Gardens, which is a 10-20 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Skip Garden is stunning. Honestly, I could have spent the day just photographing the venue – the light was perfect and there were so many little places to explore.

The Woodland Feast was amazing. There was a yurt with autumn crown making, a green house with bag painting, a whole green house filled with cake (Busby’s favourite), science classes, wood-fired pizza, s’mores…! And Muddy Puddles stunning spring/summer range – plus their collaboration with another favourite of mine – The Bright Company.

Busby had the most amazing day! She ate so much cake, she learnt all about bees, and she had a ball making and creating!

After the event, we wandered back towards Kings Cross with Bex from The Mummy Adventure and her brood and I took some more photos (including her Me & Mine photos for October – over on her blog now).

Then Busby and I headed to my favourite coffee spot in London – Leon – where I had ALL the coffee and she had the biggest babycinno I’ve ever seen. Followed by dinner and the train home (oh, and a cheeky trip to Paperchase!).

We had such a fun trip away, with lots of wonderful memories made. Busby and I never get to spend much time together just the two of us, so it was amazing to get some quality Mama-Daughter time!

A huge thank you to Muddy Puddles for having us and for putting on such a marvellous day – I can’t wait until your new range is available… Those rain drop wellies are divine!

What a GORGEOUS collection - bloody sorry I missed it now, in no small part because you were there.

P.S. Your photography has suddenly gone from being good to seriously excellent. These are superb. x
