The humble bed is my happy place. Even more so since becoming a parent, as my time spent in it is considerably less than it used to be!
I love nothing more than being snuggled up underneath a duvet. Usually with a book in hand. Or Netflix. Plus a cup of tea… Bonus points if it’s raining outside and I can hear the pitter patter of rain against the window. Extra bonus points if it’s fresh bedding.
Oh, Bed.
Sadly, after two pregnancies, a few house moves and one very damp abode, our bed is a bit worse for wear. The plan is to buy a new one as a Christmas present to each other. I’m actually incredibly excited about this, as we’re upgrading to a King to accommodate the two smaller members of our family on Sunday mornings! Also, I think we deserve a bit of luxury in our busy lives!
I’ve been doing a lot of research into beds, because it’s an important purchase and we want something that’s going to last – and fit all of us in! I’ve also been doing a lot of dreaming… And have been adding to my Pinterest board.
My dream bed would be the size of a small room, with an insanely firm, comfortable mattress. Firm pillows and a HUGE, cosy duvet. I used to own a heated blanket, which was possibly one of the best things I’ve ever possessed (although it didn’t do my street cred a whole lot of good – but I was wonderfully cosy!) so the base of the bed would be heated.
Something like the Adjustamatic would be fairly epic, although I think the children would be constantly pressing buttons… but I love the idea of a bed that helps reduce stress and anxiety. That would be ideal for me!
Speakers in the top of the mattress would be rather lovely too, so I could play soothing music, or the sounds of the sea to get me off to sleep.
What would your dream bed be like?

We want to get a superking for Sunday morning cuddles too! Need to save up though as I want a decent mattress and they cost a fortune don’t they? x
