Family Fun // Trunkaroo

We had such a fab half term – and something I really appreciated was spending time with Busby whilst H-Bear had his afternoon naps. I don’t get much one-on-one time with her these days.

The lovely folk at Trunkaroo sent Busby one of their fantastic activity boxes to try, and we had such a great time crafting and planting together that I’ve decided to share it with you all on the blog today.

Trunkaroo was started by Sahar Meghani who wanted to create something a little bit different to help children learn. The boxes are aimed at ages 3-8 and are themed. They are full of hands-on projects to help children create, discover, imagine and experiment.

We were sent the Growing Seeds Trunk, which included two “STEAM” projects (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) and a “Discoveroo” magazine full of science experiments, doodles, puzzles and games.

The trunk was a huge hit with Busby!

Being a creative soul, she decided that she wanted to do the crafting activity first – which was creating your own flower pot and flowers!

The trunk had everything we needed to make the flowers – even oil pastels and glue dots. I was so impressed that I didn’t even have to get out a pair of scissors.

Ta-da!

After the crafting activity, she wanted to get stuck straight into the planting and science activity.

As with the crafting activity, everything was included for Seedling City.

We planted cress and radish seeds with glee – Busby absolutely loved the activity, and she has really loved watching them grow! The soil pods are such a fascinating creation!

I’ve been really impressed with the Trunkaroo box. Absolutely everything is included for the activities, and it’s all beautifully presented in a neat box. The trunks would make amazing birthday presents – and are the perfect thing to keep your little one busy over the school holidays.

Each trunk costs £20, and more details can be found on the Trunkaroo website.

Oh how lovely! I love that there are different kinds of activities in the box, rather than it just being a arty/crafty activity. I think this would keep my children entertained for quite a while! x #TriedTested
