Siblings // March 2018

March has been somewhat quieter than our busy February due to illness. H-Bear has been poorly with something new every week (thank you Nursery), Nick was off sick for two weeks, and Busby has had a steady stream of colds for weeks. Spring needs to arrive with gusto so everyone can be well again!

We headed to Wilsthorpe for Beach Sunday last weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. It was a bit chilly to start with, but once the sun came out we took off our coats and had a lovely picnic.

The children (and Nick) had a great time jumping off the sand dunes, and we did lots of exploring.

Despite all of the sickness, there have been some positives this month! Busby had glowing feedback from parents evening – especially in Maths, which she’s inherited from Nick (definitely not me)! H-Bear has also been doing well at Nursery – and has been acing his shapes and numbers.

The next few weeks are going to be very busy with a work shoot (the children are modelling while I photograph), grandparents returning from Australia, and then we’re off to Sussex in the Easter Holidays.

Busby and H-Bear are very excited about their grandparents coming home and then our trip to stay with my mum in the homeland! They share a room at my mum’s and I think they’re going to love it even more now they’re a bit older (although I envisage very early mornings!).

The Easter holidays are less than two weeks away, and I can’t wait to have both children home with me again. I don’t think I’d have the patience for homeschooling, but I have to admit that it becomes more and more tempting as Busby’s first year of school goes on…
