Oh my goodness, it has been a while since I’ve published a children’s style post and I really miss them!
The reason why it’s been a while? Do you have to ask? The weather.
It has been so cold so far this year that asking the children to wear spring/summer clothes outside would have seemed rather cruel… Consequently, I’ve had these wonderful clothes from Frugi’s SS18 collection in my possession for a little longer than I would have liked before doing a shoot.
We have waited. And waited. And waited for it to be warm enough to photograph outside, but alas, the time never came, so over the weekend, I held a shoot in Busby’s bedroom for the lovely Globetrotter collection.
We might not be trotting the globe this year, but we do have a number of staycations planned including a trip to Scotland, a week in Wales and our favourite – the Lake District – in the autumn. Although, since the most recent snow hit us on Saturday (and apparently with more on the horizon), Nick and I have been talking about booking something last minute somewhere warm!
Frugi’s new Globetrotter collection is absolutely gorgeous. With their colourful prints and use of the softest organic cotton, it was so difficult to choose just one outfit each for the children.
After a good peruse, I chose Busby the Gabriella gathered trousers (£24) and Nancy raglan tee (£19).
I adore these trousers and really wish they came in my size! The polka dot print is so versatile and I think these will be the perfect trousers for wearing to the beach on cooler summer days.
Busby is a girl who loves a good map, so she adores the Nancy raglan tee. We’ve had lots of questions about the various animals on the front!
It’s such a vibrant t-shirt and one that I can see her wearing a lot in the summer holidays.
H-Bear was sent the Felix wrap around dinosaur top (£17) and coordinating dinosaur parsnip pants (£19).
I cannot resist a dinosaur, and probably would have chosen this for Busby at the same age (I love how unisex the majority of Frugi’s clothes are!).
The appliqué stegosaurus is so gorgeous – and I adore the coordinating yellow and blue buttons on the shoulder to match the blue stripes and yellow trim.
The parsnip pants are equally as gorgeous, with the cutest dinosaur pattern. I love their baggy trouser style too; they’re so playful!
I always forget how big Frugi sizing is – so I recommend sizing down if in doubt. H-Bear wears age 2-3 years (he’s 3 in June) in these photos and it’s all on the baggy size. Busby wears 5-6 years (she was 5 in December, but wears 6-7 years from a lot of shops as she’s tall) and again there’s a lot of room to grow. These clothes are definitely going to last throughout the summer!
You can find the whole Globetrotter range on the Frugi website now.
I didn’t realise until recently that Frugi went up to big ages and my eldest daughter could still fit them. Especially if they are bigger than normal sizes. I love those polka dot trousers, perfect for the warmer days x
Ah your children rock this clothing!! Its always nice to have a pop of colour in their clothes isn’t it to brighten up any day!
Oh my word, I love Frugi stuff and these outfits are no exception. They are gorgeous. I love the tshirt with the map on it, my daughter would love it!
Oh these are gorgeous - I love Frugi. The dinosaurs would go down a treat here as Oscar is obsessed with them! He has a few on his clothes and he roars at them all the time!
H-Bear looks so tall in these pictures - so grown up! I love Frugi - the Dinosaur range right now is adorable, I’ll need to look at some of the bits for Harrison! You always have the two of them so well dressed!
Frugi is one of my favourite kids clothing ranges! Wish I could afford more! Great pictures!! xx
