Baking a Bun // 6 weeks pregnant

Tuesday 10th April 2018

I turned 6 weeks pregnant yesterday! Hurrah! I’m having the most awful upset tummies. I’m really hoping they’re down to hormone changes and not anything more sinister.

I’ve booked our reassurance scan too for next week, so I have everything crossed that all will be well and we’ll see a heartbeat. To be honest, my tummy problems could be down to worrying about going to the scan… I’m terrified that Bun will have stopped growing and we’ll have to go through losing another baby.

I’m absolutely exhausted still. And super emotional. I sobbed on Nick last night about Busby going back to school, and age gaps…

Bleurgh. Bleurgh. Bleurgh. Why is the first trimester of pregnancy so yucky? I feel so sick and tired today. Moan. Moan. Moan. I hate feeling like this in pregnancy as I’m so incredibly grateful that I am actually pregnant. It’s just exhausting feeling so yucky constantly.

I’m also going through the ‘fun’ can’t sleep through the night without needing a wee thing, which is adding to the exhaustion. The first trimester is so torturous at times isn’t it?! It’s a good thing we all forget about how truly bad we feel in pregnancy – otherwise the human race would cease to exist pretty swiftly!

I’m counting down the days until our scan next week… I’m so nervous!

In other news, I’ve gone off halloumi! It’s a disaster! I can’t even look at it…
