Baking a Bun // 14 weeks pregnant

Tuesday 5th June 2018

I can’t quite believe I’ve made it to 14 weeks. I keep pinching myself! I just feel so incredibly lucky to be here right now.

I’ve been feeling Bun moving around quite a bit over the past few days, which is very exciting and makes me feel quite relieved as I’m feeling so on edge; waiting for something to go wrong.

The need to pee during the night seems to have ramped up over the past couple of days. I think it’s probably because I’m drinking a lot more water now that I can stomach it again! But, oh I am TIRED! Last night was especially bad and I’ve been trying to work today with the words swimming on the page in front of me.

Anyhoo… Bun is the size of Troll toy this week. My nausea doesn’t seem to be on the way out quite yet either…

I’ve had a huge craving for stir-fry so far this week and salty soy sauce!

I slept a bit better last night (thankfully), although I do feel like I could probably sleep for another few weeks! I miss the days of being pregnant with Busby, where I could just sleep all weekend…

I was sent some fruit tea infusions from Hot Tea Mama at the beginning of the week, and I am completely in love with their Get Up & Glow infusion. It’s definitely helped me feel a bit more perky this morning – and it was SO nice to be able to have a hot drink without retching. Yum!

The Night Owl infusion is also brilliant for aiding sleep. I need to buy some more because I’ve almost got through all of the samples I was sent already!

What a busy day! I took H-Bear to a toddler class in the next town along this morning and by the time we got home, it was time to get Busby from school! So much walking! My really legs felt it this evening – thank goodness for Nick and his marvellous foot rubs.

On the plus side, I haven’t really felt sick today! Yay!

Saturday 9th June 2018

I haven’t felt sick at all today! Hurrah! I had my first driving lesson this morning and was so nervous, but it went really well and I’m excited for the next one.

I’ve eaten salmon today, which I haven’t been able to eat for about a year because it was giving me awful headaches, but I had a sudden craving for it and it was delicious!

Not much else to report this week… It’s been a quiet one really. I’m just so happy that I’m still baking this bun and that *fingers crossed* everything is growing as it should. Only three weeks until our gender scan now!

So lovely to follow your progress, just a week or so ahead, and to hear you can feel Bun moving already - I haven’t felt anything yet and know it can take some time. But the fact you can feel some things makes me hopeful it won’t be too long for me either! X
