Elmer the Elephant is a firm favourite in our family, so we were very excited to hear that one of our favourite children’s brands – JoJo Maman Bébé – had teamed up with the Elmer team to collaborate on a gorgeous new range.
We’ve featured JoJo Maman Bébé on What the Children Wore a number of times over the past few years. They make marvellous, timeless clothes for children and we are always so impressed with the quality of their garments.
I captured this shoot on one of our beautiful bank holiday walks in the stunning village of Walkington. The sun was shining, the bees were buzzing and it was gloriously warm (she says now typing this in bed wearing a very big jumper! Come back warm weather!).
Nick had found a field of wild flowers on a walk the week before, but sadly it was also full of very spiky plants – so we ‘settled’ for the next field which was full beautiful yellow rapeseed instead.
Most of the Elmer range is unisex, which I really love about the collection!
Busby was sent this gorgeous stripy a-line dress with an appliquéd Elmer on the skirt of the dress. Isn’t it perfect? I love this style of dress on Busby and I like how it’s playful, yet not babyish.
She’s loved wearing the dress! It was absolutely ideal for our adventure as it’s made from super soft cotton and is very easy to move in.
H-Bear was sent an Elmer Breton tee and the most divine Elmer reversible hoodie – which he adores.
The hoodie is fastened with a zip and is the perfect extra layer on cooler summer days.
Again, the clothes are made from the softest cotton and are perfect for running and adventuring!
Busby was also sent a pair of Elmer short pyjamas (which H-Bear loves SO much that my mum has just bought him a pair for his birthday this month!).
The pjs are again made from the softest cotton; ideal for keeping children cool! They are perfect for those sticky summer nights.
Busby wears age 5-6 years and H-Bear age 2-3 years. Both fit wonderfully with a little room to grow.
H-Bear’s Breton Elmer tee costs £16 and his reversible hoodie is £24. Busby’s Elmer dress costs £22 and the pjs are £19. We were also sent a copy of Elmer and the Lost Teddy, which is available on the JoJo website for £6.99.
Check out the whole Elmer range by visiting the JoJo Maman Bébé website.
