We spent today hacking back our garden for winter, which really sated some of the crazy nesting instinct I’m suffering from at the moment!! It was great; chopping, digging and burning! I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who is wondering what to do with their nesting energy. Take lots of breaks though!
This week Bun is the size of a pineapple and weighs around 3lb. She isn’t expected to grow much more in length according to my app, but will continue to put on weight for the next 8-12 weeks. I can’t believe we’re going to be meeting her so soon! I’m so glad pregnancy is almost over; the relief I’m going to feel holding her safely in my arms is going to be tremendous, and I’m so looking forward to not feeling constantly yuck. Of course, that will be overtaken overwhelming exhaustion… but I’ll have a baby to nuzzle and at least I’ll be able to drink coffee again without it giving me indigestion!

It’s my first proper work day in what feels like weeks! It’s been so lovely to have the house to myself and plough through emails. Also, my morning school run duties have been taken off me until I’ve had Bun now, so it was lovely to be able to stay in bed and get myself sorted without having to rush around too much this morning!
Cravings this week include BISCUITS! Oh my goodness, I spent a small fortune on biscuits in M&S this week… I feel rather like the panda in Hey, Duggee! Also, chocolate covered pretzels are incredible…

We spent this morning shopping for tester pots. I was in nesting heaven at B&Q! We’re going for a dark green for Bun’s nursery (soon to be H-Bear’s old room). I’m looking forward to getting rid of the dirty finger marks and hospital-green walls that I’ve grown to dislike quite a lot over the past three years. Hopefully the botanical/forest theme will work well.
Bunk beds are being built tomorrow… Our living room is beginning to resemble a warehouse, so I’m looking forward to getting those up and out of the way. And then I need to build the pram! We’re so lucky; UPPABaby have sent us their incredible Vista system for Bun. It’s been my dream pushchair since a friend of mine bought one when she was pregnant a few years ago. The basket is HUGE and it’s going to be absolutely perfect for the school run with THREE children in tow. Still not quite sure quite how I’m going to manage with three children… I’m trying not to think about that aspect of things too much! I think I shall be winging it even more than I usually do.
