I had my first Bravado bra experience during H-Bear’s pregnancy, and I have to admit that I continued to wear the bra even after I finished breastfeeding him! It is so ridiculously comfortable! It’s still one that I wear now, almost four years on.
Obviously, already being a huge Bravado fan, when I was offered two of their nursing bras to review during this pregnancy, I leapt at the opportunity.
I was sent the Buttercup Nursing Bra in black and the Ballet Nursing Bra in dusted peony. Both bras are silky soft to touch and even more comfortable to wear. In fact, I often forget that I’m wearing a bra when in the ballet bra.
Both bras are wire-free, which are always so much more comfortable in pregnancy.
The 36DD Buttercup bra fits perfectly for now and it comes with a free bra extender (which simply hooks onto the back clasp) for the final few weeks of pregnancy, and for when my milk comes in.
The easy open nursing clips are fantastic for quick breastfeeding access, and I can see myself utilising them constantly over the coming weeks.
The foam cups on the Buttercup bra are so comfortable and give me such a lovely shape!
The Ballet bra is more of a relaxed bra; perfect for all day cluster feeds where I’m stuck on the sofa! It’s ridiculously comfy, and has no back closure, making it feel like more of a night time nursing bra (although it can be worn whenever!). I’ve been wearing it at night over the past couple of weeks with breast pads in, as I’ve started leaking milk.
Although the Ballet bra has less structure than the Buttercup bra, the straps are adjustable, so your breasts are definitely still supported.
I opted for a size L in the Ballet bra, which fits wonderfully.
I’ve been so impressed with both of the Bravado nursing bras. They are both incredibly soft and comfortable to wear, and I can’t wait to see how they fare when nursing Bun! They both come in a range of different colours.
