Baby // Burt’s Bees Baby Range (#ad)

Finding the perfect skincare products for your baby is a tricky task, as their skin is notoriously delicate and sensitive. I have tried so many different brands over the past six years of motherhood, all with varying levels of success, so I was very excited when we were asked to collaborate with natural, nourishing skincare brand Burt’s Bees.

We’ve been testing the Burt’s Bees Baby range over the past few weeks, and I’ve been so impressed with how gentle it is on Tabby’s skin. We were sent three products from the range to try:

  1. Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash
  2. Burt’s Bees Nourishing Baby Oil
  3. Burt’s Bees Baby Diaper Ointment

Burt’s Bees believe that parents need safe, gentle and effective products they can trust to use on their babies. They use only the purest ingredients, meaning that the range can be used from your baby’s first days earthside.

All of the products in the Burt’s Bees Baby range are paediatrician tested, and formulated with no parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS. They are also not tested on animals.

Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash (RRP £7.99)

My favourite product from the three we were sent to test is the Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash. It smells absolutely incredible! I’ve wanted to eat Tabby each time we’ve used it – it makes her smell delicious – and turns her hair even softer.

It’s so gentle and moisturising on her lingering cradle cap. In fact, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in the levels of cradle cap since we started using it.

The shampoo is made from a tear-free formula and is non-irritating for the scalp. It naturally cleans your baby’s hair and skin, and is ideal for sensitive skin (it is scientifically shown to be gentle enough for everyday use). The shampoo is naturally foaming and is made with 98.9% natural, plant based formula to leave your baby clean and smooth.

Burt’s Bees Baby Nourishing Baby Oil (RRP £10.99)

The Burt’s Bees Baby Nourishing Baby Oil is gorgeous. Again, it smells absolutely incredible and is 100% natural – no synthetic fragrances are used. The oil is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, with a base of apricot and grape seed oil to keep your baby’s skin beautifully soft.

We attended baby massage classes when Tabby was teeny, and have been regularly massaging her since. She adores being massaged and this is the perfect oil to use. It can also be added to the bath to make a luxurious, nourishing, pampering bath for baby (or yourself!).

Burt’s Bees Baby Diaper Ointment (RRP £8.99)

The Burt’s Bees Baby Diaper Ointment is the product we’ve used the most out of the three over the past few weeks. Not only have I used it on Tabby, but I’ve also used it on H-Bear when he had a sore bottom. Both soreness/rashes cleared up quickly, and I felt more than happy using it on both children because it’s 100% natural (40% zinc oxide).

The ointment is a fantastic barrier cream. It’s lovely and thick and is extremely nourishing with shea butter, lavender oil and jojoba seed oil. It also cleverly absorbs wetness from your baby’s skin, leaving it soft and dry.

I’ve been very impressed with the Burt’s Bees Baby products we were sent to try. All three products are extremely high quality and very gentle to use on Tabby’s (and Busby and H-Bear’s) skin. We will definitely be continuing as Burt’s Bees customers, and I’ll be adding the Diaper Ointment to my ‘newborn essentials’ list for friends. Price wise, initial thoughts were that the range is a little more than I’d normally spend on skincare for the children – but because the quality is so high, you only need a small amount per use so the range actually works out to be very cost effective.

You can find the entire Burt’s Bees Baby range on the Burt’s Bees website.

I love the Burt’s Bees range myself and so I am so happy to hear they’ve developed a range just for babies. I think this will be popular as a gift this Christmas.

love there are better options available for little ones - their sensitive skin needs the gentlest ingredients and brands like BB offer a safer alternative that ensures healthy skin and no nasties are being introduced to the wee ones x
