Siblings // January 2020

Gosh – “2020”… it sounds rather futuristic, doesn’t it?

Another month of Siblings, and a brand new year, in a brand new decade! We have lots of fun adventures ahead this year, including a trip to France for a family wedding and we’re returning to Northumberland in the summer. I’m also hoping we might be able to sneak in an adventure in the Lake District this year too, as we usually go annually but didn’t make it there last year.

We had a truly wonderful Christmas. We stayed at home for the first time since H-Bear was a baby, and it was glorious. Very relaxed. Our local church on Christmas Eve for the Christingle service, followed by Nick’s famous Christmas Eve stew and Christmas Eve pyjama opening (and wearing).

Christmas Day itself was met with much excitement. Tabby didn’t sleep at all the night before (what’s new?), so Nick and I were fairly shattered. But H-Bear ended up having a lie in until gone 8am, which was rather miraculous. (Busby woke up around 7am, which considering her excitement levels the night before, was quite the achievement!). My mum came to stay, and we just had a very relaxed day; opening presents, eating and drinking.

Continuing on from last month, these posts will now be more of a ‘Portraits of my Children‘ than me chatting about the children specifically. The outfits in this post have been kindly gifted from the lovely Lil Cubs from her amazing Mr Men x Little Miss collaboration.

The rest of the month is rather plan-free, which is wonderful as we’ve found ourselves at the beach every weekend so far this year. Nick and I are hoping to sort the garden out this coming weekend to make it more ‘child-friendly’ so we can finally get our Wendy House and climbing frame out, which I imagine will be the source of much excitement! Hoping to have it all ready for half term.
