Howdy! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week (it doesn’t have to be the whole week – it can just be one day, or your weekend)! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I am so SO sorry that I haven’t had a chance to do my usual commenting and sharing on your posts this week. I really haven’t stopped at all; days have been filled with DIY and my evenings have been spent attempting to keep my eyes open, whilst simultaneously ordering curtains and planning the next day in the new house. We have moved this weekend, so I fully intend it to be business as usual next weekend with sharing etc. Thank you so much to all of you who linked up last week – this exhausted, heavily pregnant Mama feels dreadful for letting ye lovely linkers down.
Our week
I painted Peppercorn’s Nursery on Sunday and it swiftly became one of my favourite spaces in the house so far. The light in there is beautiful and I’m in love with the colours.
I turned 34 weeks pregnant on Monday and I spent the day with Busby, feeling like a dreadful parent as my mind was distracted planning house-things.
Tuesday saw me back at the house… I honestly can’t remember what happened, but it probably involved a paintbrush! Oh, I made a stencil for Busby’s room! Nick had the day off, and he varnished lots of wood! I also found out I’d made it into the Tots100 Top 10 Best Pregnancy and Baby Blogs for 2015! Very exciting news!
What happened on Wednesday? Yup, you guessed it – I was back at the house! I spent the morning stencilling clouds in Busby’s bedroom, and the afternoon painting our statement wall in our grown-up space aka the Cocktail Lounge.
Busby came over to the house with us on Thursday morning; we had a Costa date and got absolutely nothing useful done in the morning as emulsion and Toddlers do not mix!!! Nick finished work at lunch time and we all headed out to visit a potential new Nursery for Busby. The day ended with me on a step ladder… painting once again!
Nick had Friday off work and we headed over to the new house early doors to get the Family Room floor varnished, and to finish painting the Cocktail Lounge. Our new carpets arrived as well!
Saturday saw us move most of our belongings over to the new house!

Lovely pics, love the colour in the nursery! Congrats on making the tots100 top 10 baby blogs, that’s amazing! Kaye x
It may have been a busy week but your house is looking fab! I can’t believe that you stenciled those clouds! I could never, ever get them that straight (I am a lefty in my defense!) DYI always takes me so much longer than I plan but it’s such a fulfilling thing to do!
I am loving the colours of your new house! Gorgoues!! Cannot believe you only have around 6 weeks left! Your pregnancy has flown by!
Hannah I love the colour of Bump’s nursery and Busby’s cloud wall looks fabulous! I can’t wait to see the finished house and if I’m not invited to the ‘Cocktail Lounge’ I’ll be very dissappointed! Xx
I love what you have done in Busby’s room 🙂 hope the move went well xx

Gosh this post made me tired just reading it. Oliver was born at 34 weeks, which seems so early after seeing you at 34 weeks.
The cloud wall paper is so lovely, we are moving house this weekend!
Have a lovely week and thanks so much for hosting
Becky xx
I have been think about you and am really excited about your new house. I can not believe what you are accomplishing while pregnant but you are “super woman”. Life must go on! Look forward to hearing about house and new baby in the future!
